| 説明 | With its fat neck, its stockiness, and its short legs, this fellow cannot be confused with the Great Blue Heron I am more used to seeing. I am always glad to see an interesting bird, of course, but I prefer to have my monopod with me because steady hands I do not have. Today, I did not have the monopod. This photo is a record of the special day that today has been, the day after four months when I was allowed a visit from my two grand nieces despite the Covid-19" pandemic. Now that they are permitted to visit, they still are not allowed inside my cottage. They and their mother and their relatively new puppy were, however, allowed to go down to the lake and of course we all wore masks except for the puppy. In fact, they had to go to the lake since their grandparents live on the other side of the lake from me, and I decided to "walk" the visitors back "home"--me on my scooter, actually. On the way, I came across this Green Heron. Thank you for your friendship, patience and suggestions. |
