| 説明 | In 1971, I got the nice KPQ FM map. Boasting a far signal reach from high atop Mission Ridge Ski Area, the artistic map also featured a collage of listener reports from the mail. I was so impressed by the range that I used this map to make up my own Washington State network consisting of two stations. It was make believe.Since those years, Northwest Public Broadcasting, based in my hometown of Pullman, has one of their stations on Mission Ridge. NWPB has an impressive map of stations including their Mission Ridge location.While KPQ got reception reports from all corners of it's range, the signal is more boxed in, these days, due to other stations on the same and nearby frequencies. I've never been able to pick it up west of the Cascades.An interesting fantasy network would be to have transmitters on Orcas Island, near Bellingham, Tiger Mountain near Seattle, Mission Ridge near Wenatchee and Mount Spokane. These days, stations rely more on the internet to extend their range. |
