| 説明 | The end comes for Allerton Signalbox.After years of service, with all signalling now controlled from NW ROC at Ashburys, Manchester, the redundant ‘box is reduced to so much scrap timber, brickwork and steel.A sad end, which also befell Halton Junction and Speke Junction signalboxes. All that remains now is photographs and the memories of the men and women that worked the frames to keep the travelling public and the freight moving safely. |
