| 説明 | For #10 in our #DunedinNeighbourhoods series we head to Port Chalmers, with a late-1870s photograph by Herbert Deveril. The large wooden building at centre left, on the corner of Scotia and Grey streets, is the school, first built in 1861 with two wings added later. It became the Mechanics Institute and Library in 1880 and was demolished around 1960. To the left of the school part of the stone Holy Trinity Anglican Church is just visible.
