| 説明 | Carondelet ParkI want to give credit where credit is due, since finding this male Black-throated Blue Warbler in Carondelet was so exciting for us. It's really cool how connections work. Brian Nelson and Christina Ludtke were birding in Carondelet Park due to seeing our eBird reports. They initially found the Black-throated Blue Warbler, told Jim Hickner, who was in the park, and Jim texted our friend Kyran Leeker to tell us about it, which she did. It just so happened that we were in the park on our way to the very area the bird had been found. We did not know who had found it, but decided to trust this mysterious text, since the message conveyed sort of where to look. While we were looking for this bird that kept eluding us, we ran into Brian and Christina, and then discovered they were the ones who had found the beauty - and they told us a little more about where they'd last seen him as they took off looking for Bay-breasted Warblers. Kyran was looking for the BTBW in TGP, but did not find him, so she joined us in looking for this one at Carondelet. I had told her to join us and be our good luck charm, which she turned out to be. We'd been looking for over an hour and not finding him before she arrived and spotted him. SO FUN. Thanks Brian, Christina, Jim, and Ky! Yay! |
