| 説明 | HUMPHREYS GARRISON — A new champion was crowned at the Alaska Mining Company’s “King of the Grill” cook off, here Aug. 28.Dathan Black, the Humphreys Garrison assistant fire chief and chief of training, was selected as the best from among nine entrants, including defending champion Walt Cade, in the rib cooking portion of the event.Awards for best in barbecue sauce, potato salad, cole slaw, and baked beans were also presented. Those winners were: Gretchen Levine (Best Barbecue Sauce); Jeff Hubbard (Best Baked Beans); Tammy Malcolm (Best Cole Slaw) and Reggie Castro (Best Potato Salad).Contestants provided their own grills, charcoal and lighter fluid while the AMC provided each with six slabs of freshly thawed Baby Back ribs to prepare for the judges.
