| 説明 | Hiroshima totally annihilated by the USA's atom bomb in 1945- picture 3 of 13: A frightening video about how the American atom bomb destroyed the entire neighbourhood in Hiroshima. This brilliantly executed video in the Hiroshima Peace museum in the Chuo Park shows how much of Hiroshima was flattened by the atom bomb. Only Vietnam and Japan were able to give the US a well deserved drubbing for their arm twisting, and while the US (over)reacted in Vietnam by spraying Agent Orange to scorch the earth in a predominantly agricultural country, here in Hiroshima and Nagasaki they flattened the town completely. So much for spreading liberty and freedom. Granted that the Japanese were not angels during the war either, and committed many atrocities in SE Asia, but to take revenge by flattening and entire city in Japan and wiping out much of its population- mostly innocent civilians including women and children is really beyond my understanding. Nagasaki is not on the tourist trail and few people go there but Hiroshima sees increasing tourist numbers. I was advised that it was not worth going all the way to Hiroshima but I did anyway and am glad I did.
