| 説明 | This is the first batch of the 100 or so photos I got from Cambodia. I've decided to put them up in batches every couple of days for the next week or so as there are so many. All photos were shot using an IR converted Canon 350DAnkor Wat is an ancient Khmer temple in the Angkor region of Cambodia, AFAIK it is the largest religious structure in the world, sitting in a massive island in a middle of a moat. It was built originally as a Hindu temple dedicated to Vishnu in the 12th Century by King Suryavarman II. It was later turned used a Buddhist monastery. It is notable despite its architecture for having a main entrance you approach from the West, which is very unusual in Hindu religious structures, as the Westerly direction is associated with death. |
