説明 | Prime Minister of the Tang dynasty (618-907 CE). Li De Yu (787 - 850) Otherwise known as Wen Rao (nickname) was from Zhen Ding Zan Huang (now Hebei Province). In the Tang Dynasty, the emperors were Tang Wen Zong and Tang Wu Zong at the time Li De Yu was the Prime Minister. He was intelligent and fearless, taking the frontier defence of the nation seriously, attempting to unify his divided country into a united nation. He tried his best, unsuccessfully, to make the Centre-Right faction of the government conform with his ideas of strengthening the military, while maintaining peace. In these turbulent circumstances a war ensued (Niu Li Ke Zheng), resulting in his capture. His captors spread vicious lies about him, resulting in Li De Yu being banished to Jing Nan, then Chao Zhou, eventually ending in Hainan in 848 CE. Li De Yu died in 850 CE, in Ya Zhou (now known as Qiong Shan city). While living in Hainan, Li De Yu wrote books and taught the local population the principles of ethics. |
