説明КОНСТАНТИН ГОРБАТОВ - Подсолнухи☆Location: The Museum and Exhibition Complex of the Moscow region "New Jerusalem", Istra, Russia.Sources: www.rusimp.su/ru/exhibitions?id=25njerusalem.ru/vystavki-i-ekspozicii/exhibit/konstantin-go...Currently, this painting and two other canvases by Gorbatov are on display at the Museum of Russian Impressionism as part of the project “Russian Impressionism from Regional Museums”. Quoted by catalog to the exhibition on the museum website. As part of the Russian Impressionism from Regional Museums project, from October 10, 2019 to January 26, 2020, the museum displays three works by Konstantin Gorbatov from an extensive unique collection of his works in the New Jerusalem Museum and Exhibition Complex in the Moscow Region. The history of art knows Konstantin Gorbatov as a painter with a recognizable style, he was an artist of a romantic worldview, the author of semi-fairy landscapes with ancient churches, rivers, ships. His paintings often resemble a dream, where the artist depicts "life is not what it is, but what it could be."Etudes “Sunflowers” presented at the exhibition 1933, “Marina. Capri'' 1926 and ''The Italian House'' of 1926 - plein air observations of the artist. The works were already written during the years of Gorbatov's emigration. He left Russia in 1922 and spent the first few years in Italy, a country in which he fell in love with his first trip as a senior citizen of the Imperial Academy of Arts. In Italy, nature was the best suited to Gorbatov’s favorite colorful palette. It is characterized by pasty painting, a wide soft “dancing” brushstroke, the rhythm of which often turns into a vibrating pointel. The artist definitely felt how to recreate a transparent light-air environment on canvas, to give the viewer a feeling of warmth, sun, the smell of the sea.The picture format sketch “Sunflowers” is not a typical composition for Gorbatov. There is no architectural or landscape perspective in the distance, there is no literary and narrative motive in the plot, it is a simple "portrait" of fresh flowers against a blue sky. Gorbatov is neither the first nor the last to be captivated by the beauty of sunny flowers. Sunflowers were written by Claude Monet, Gustav Klimt, Paul Gauguin, Henri Matisse, Russian artists Nikolai Feshin, Robert Falk, Aristarkh Lentulov, and in the works of Vincent Van Gogh and Russian amazon avant-garde Natalia Goncharova, these flowers became the object of a series of pictorial studies that are now recognized as world masterpieces. Before the Nazis came to power and the formation of a new style of the Third Reich, Gorbatov was one of the most bought artists in Germany, where he settled in 1926. Large circulation came out postcards of reproductions with his landscapes. Gorbatov’s paintings still remain one of the most bought at auctions, the most anticipated in the expositions of museum collections. The collection of the Museum and Exhibition Complex of the Moscow Region “New Jerusalem” contains 120 works by Gorbatov. The works entered the collection from the Berlin apartment of Gorbatov, who died in May 1945. The museum was founded in 1920 and until 1991 worked in the status of local history. Now it is one of the largest comprehensive museums with a stock collection of 180,000 storage units and includes archaeological, historical, ethnographic, as well as art collections.
