| 説明 | A 1928 French evening dress by Jeanne Lanvin.Jeanne-Marie Lanvin (1 January 1867 – 6 July 1946) became an apprentice milliner at Madame Félix in Paris at the age of 16 and trained with Suzanne Talbot before becoming a milliner on the rue du Faubourg Saint-Honoré in 1889. She married Count Emilio di Pietro, an Italian nobleman, in 1895 and gave birth to a daughter two years later. The couple divorced in 1903. She married Xavier Melet, a journalist , in 1907.She formed the House of Lanvin in 1909, opening her boutique on the rue du Faubourg Saint-Honoré in Paris. She initially gained fame designing clothes for children and teenage girls, but expanded into clothes for young adults. In the 1920s, she expanded into firs, lingerie, menswear, and home decor. She won another round of great acclaim in 1924 after launching a line of scent, Lanvin Parfums. Her signature fragrance, Arpège, was released in 1927. It came in a spherical bottle desinged by French designer Armand-Albert Rateau.Lanvin died on 6 July 1946. The House of Lanvin still exists. |
