| 説明 | EDV responded to the Haiti earthquake in early June, 2010 and we’re currently working with a group of local students.The students approached us after a large community meeting to discuss the possibility of beginning a cultural exchange and workshop project that would help them grow, learn and become leaders in their community. The students’ interests include language exchanges, the development of vocational skills to showing new international volunteers around Port au Prince . EDV, the students, and our partner organisation GrassRoots United are extremely excited that these local students are pursuing this exchange with such enthusiasm.The students won’t just be learning – they’ll also be teaching. We’re looking forward to what we can learn and to seeing the students’ confidence grow as they get the chance to run the show.From Kryole to Haitian history, this is truly an exchange where everyone comes to the table because they want to both teach and learn.To learn more about this project, including what we learn from week to week please visit www.EDVolunteers.org/programmes-projects.
