| 説明 | They look transparent because of the long exposure, where some of the pixels from the background are superimposed on the bat image. This was done with a bank of 6 flashes triggered by laser sensors. The camera is on bulb (manually holding the shutter open), and preset to ISO 1200 and F16. The best images are obtained by closing the shutter as soon as the flash is triggered. I wish I could do this again now, with what I learned last night! Thanks to Gert de Beer for the invitation, and Ernest Seamark from African Bats (www.africanbats.org) for the opportunity to use their research facility. Thanks also to Gordon from Horizons Leisure and Learning Sanctuary for the use of the facilities, the property where the bat cave is located, and the great braai afterwards. |
