| 説明 | The ice-control dam on the Moira River, north of College Street, in Belleville, Ontario. The three dams on the Moira River were built to control the flow of frazzle ice down river. This ice collected at the mouth of the Moira causing several floods in downtown Belleville. This photo is taken looking south west towards downtown. The College Street railway bridge can be seen in the centre of the photo, along with the spire of St. Michael's church and the Belleville water tower.One of a series of photographic slides taken by the Keller family of Belleville between 1964 and 1994. |
