| 説明 | Both the asexual and sexual generation galls of Biorhiza pallida are found on Quercus robur and Quercus petraea. the sexual gall is the well- known "Oak Apple". The asexual generation gall forms on the roots of the trees just below the soil surface. This photograph shows a species of Chalcidoidea - Sycophila biguttata. This species is a parasitoid of the larvae of Biorhiza pallida that are inside the gall. This is a female that is trying to detect the larvae so that she can lay oviposit into them. |
