| 説明 | after reading about the protest the day before, two travelers i met in my hotel and i sent out to find the demonstration. my two companions, one french the other russian, only agreed to go with me if i promised to pose as a canadian. i agreed, but no one ever asked where i was from, so i didn't have to lie.anyway, we weren't 100% sure where it was and wandered around the north damascus area around where the poster said it would be for a little while. then, we saw these guys marching from across the street. we followed them and ended up at the square with the demonstration. (we had checked the square earlier, but it was empty when we passed by it)my impression of the protest, written the day after these photos were taken, is here |
