| 説明 | This was the funkiest of the so called funky fashions I could spot on Takeshita Street. This street in the Harajuku district in Tokyo, Japan is fashion central, especially for teenagers. This super busy and hopelessly crowded (most of the time) street is chock a block with Japanese teenage girls- so a great place for some real eye candy! And you will see fashion of all sorts here: blue hair, pink hair green hair, bunny ear caps, patchwork skirts (like seen here), platform sandals with their soles at least a foot high off the ground etc. etc. etc. Almost everything in almost any of the stores here is on sale, and as if the hopelessly crowded stores are not enough, you have teenage girls holding placards promoting their store or outlet. (see previous pictures earlier in this album). I tried to take a picture of a couple of them- I always ask before I do- one refused- she had such unusual neon pink hair- and one hid her face with her placard! Add to the eye candy are Chinese tourists, and interspersed between the fashion stores are snack shops, the odd camera store, a couple of animal cafes and entrances to basement video and karoke parlours where video game crazy Japanese kids play manga and video games.
