| 説明 | for $1 you can get seed on a stick to take in and the birds will come to you and sit on the stick to eat. With over 400 birds and maximum 10 people at a time, sometimes birds will try to bump another off and take their spot. In this case I was holding it for the rosella to step on (they are nervous about landing on the tiny stick) and the cockatiel landed closer to my hand and proceeded to stare down the bigger bird. Despite his attempts to scare the intruder away (seen above) the cockatiel refused to budge and the rosella gave up. The aviary exhibit called Wings From Down Under has over 400 hand raised and tame birds. That day there were Cockatiel's Budgerigar (Parakeet) of every possible color, and Eastern Rosella's. It was a very cool experience. |
