| 説明 | My last stop in Chiang Mai on this trip is the Kaomai Lanna Resort- an erstwhile tobacco plant being developed into something more useful. I can't tell you how happy I was to see a tobacco facility being closed down! The Kaomai Lanna Hotel and Resort, located in Sanpatong, Chiang Mai is a unique boutique resort style hotel on the route from Chiang Mai to Doi Inthanon, the highest mountain in Thailand. The resort is surrounded by a big, lush tropical garden amidst cool, green surroundings. The unique accommodations at the resort are built into real tobacco curing barns and furnished with colonial style antique furniture in true Lanna style. Seen here are two of the tobacco barns but these are ot part of the accommodations. Pictures of the resort on t heir website show such barns covered with creepers, making them look like large green walls, but that was probably in a separate area of the resort.
