| 説明 | Glasses of Leffe Blonde and Leffe Brune from draft at Caféministeriet in Aalborg, Denmark.Despite being owned by brewing giant InBev these classic abbey ales, brewed in Leuven, Belgium, are still good beers and I hadn't had them on draft for several years so I couldn't resist the opportunity when I found them at Caféministeriet.Leffe Blonde is a 6.6% abv pale abbey ale. It poured a hazy golden amber color with a white head. Spicy and fruity aroma with a light honey sweetness. Very nice. Flavor followed up the aroma, with plenty of spice (coriander, cloves) to dress up the sweetness. I also noticed some banana notes when the beer warmed up a bit. Good bitter finish.Leffe Brune is a 6.5% abv abbey double style of beer. It poured a cloudy dark brown with a beige head. Sweet caramel aroma. Soft mouthfeel with a sticky sweetness. Flavor started out with a syupy sweetness and dark fruit notes. Raisins. Finished with a light bitterness. All in all, these beers are very rich and tasty especially for being "industrial" beers. I really enjoy them. |
