| 説明 | "At this writing I have yet to send the pictures I spoke of in my last letter. Some of them were official and I was unable to get them ashore. As you know it is impossible to get them by the censor.If you remember, some time back, I wrote and told you of the money they paid me for travel from the west to the east coast. I think I referred to that money as “just like finding it”. Well the paymaster finally discovered his mistake and is now checking my pay for $217! The bad feature of the whole proceeding is that they are checking me for the month of December and that is the month’s pay I intended to use for Christmas."From the Edward L.
