| 説明 | "8 December 1943Dear Dad:Received two letters from you yesterday. One was dated Oct. 30, the other Nov. 24. Rather good time on the last one, but then it seems that the further we push along the better the mail service becomes.Things out here are very quiet. In fact they are so quiet that the puppy, adopted by our outfit, is learning to play at the age of four months. The poor little bastard didn’t grow up the way average puppies do. The first thing he learned to do was duck a bomb and I must say he learned his lesson well. He had no mentor but a big Marine, who was formerly a "From the Edward L.
