| 説明 | "February 24, 1942Dear Dad:Received your letter with the enclosed recommendations and they certainly were fine. I can’t begin to tell you how much I appreciate what you have done for me, and how much I appreciate those fine letters. As you probably know by this time I am not a very demonstrative person and anything I attempt to say is so inadequate as to how I feel.You realize that my time is so limited-that is time that I can call my own-that an occasional letter is the best I can do. In the event that I am a little late in acknowledging the splendid letters, written by Horace, Cal and Pete, please thank them for me and remind them that I’ll never forget it.I had some pictures taken the day before Black Sunday, in other words"From the Edward L.
