| 説明 | "Fatalities.Things around here are very quiet. In fact we are quite comfortable. We have a very nice house, built of packing boxes, a wooden floor, spring bunks and a magnificent shower constructed of a five gallon tin. The tin formerly held dehydrated potatoes and if you’ve never tried them you have something to look forward to.Our food-while it isn’t the sort of fare you’d get at the Occidental-is enough to keep body and soul together, so all and all we consider ourselves very fortunate.Well my two pages are filled so will close with the promise to write in the near future.Love,EdEdward L. Parke"From the Edward L. Parke Collection (COLL/5627) at the Archives Branch, Marine Corps History Division OFFICIAL USMC PHOTOGRAPH |
