| 説明 | We have now finished with the far end of the market and it time to head back to the Amphawa floating market proper once again. Although it is closed, we do need to cross the canal to get back to our car, and it is getting late for the Maeklong railway market- we do not want to miss the train running through the market! Well, more on that later. So on our way back, we pass another of these stalls selling preserved and salted fish. Notice the fly catcher in the background, with scores of flies trapped on it. They lay out some kind of a gooey substance on a sheet of paper which attracts the files and generally keeps them away from the goods on offer. The salted fish are set onto a styrofoam tran and are tightly cling wrapped, so no flies can get to them anyway, but they may worry people coming to shop for the fish hence the fly trap.
