| 説明 | "Of course we are living in tents again-it wouldn’t be the Fourth Defense if we didn’t-and from the looks of things we won’t be here very long. In all probability we’ll end up on either Wake or Guam. In fact rumor has us moving about the first of the year. The trip out here wasn’t bad, nor was it good. We had to put in at Mare island in order to restow parts of our equipment that had worked loose due to the high seas.The Staff Non-Commissioned Officers ate with the Chief Petty Officers which was quite a break. We didn’t have to stand in line and we at least had a table to sit down to.I forgot to mention it before but I"From the Edward L.
