| 説明 | The marshes are alive with the sounds and sights of spring, so I was set up in waders and ghillie suit taking it all. Three teal came screaming in and splashed down in front of me, and I immediately spotted this guy. A cinnamon teal X blue-winged teal drake hybrid. With hybrids, it can be difficult to tell exactly which two species, but this one is pretty straightforward. Classic cinnamon teal drake body color, tertial feathers, and that red eye. Classic blue-winged teal drake white crescent in front of eye, bluish-greenish head color, and a few of the leopard spots on the body. The only cinnamon teal X blue-winged teal hybrid I have ever spotted, and he cooperated for some photos.Photo: Tom Koerner/USFWS |
