| 説明 | Almost the entire interior of Grenada consists of a patchwork of thick tropical forest and national parks. My personal favourite is the Grand Etang Forest Reserve, mainly because of its focal point: the fantastic crater lake, seen here. The Grand Etang Lake is an extinct submarine volcano and the source of much research. At 1,800 ft / 550 m above sea level, the source of the lake's water is currently being studied and it is believed to be connected to the nearby active submarine volcano, Kick 'em Jenny. You can hike around the lake on predefined trails past waterfalls and through jungle. There are many tropical birds, lizards, orchids and even armadillos to be found along the routes that can take between fifteen minutes to four hours. This photos is part of my HDR Tour of Grenada.< Previous ¦ Next > |
