Tamishala Downing, center, and Damage Controlman Chance Riesing from Warrenton, Mo., facilitate communications at the incident command post during an integrated ship and shore force damage control drill aboard the amphibious assault ship USS Bonhomme Richard (LHD 6). The drill, conducted during a ship’s maintenance availability, included Southwest Regional Maintenance Center (SWRMC) personnel, San Diego Federal Firefighters and ship’s company, and was designed to test the crew’s ability to integrate fire and emergency response efforts with civilian, base and federal fire services.
