| 説明 | And here, with the inner antiprism walls removed, I saw the crux of the problem ... I think. It was not an issue with dodecahedral antiprisms in general, but with the angle by which the top and bottom hexagonal holes of said dodecagons were aligned with respect to one another. You see, in order for the central hole to represent a true hexagonal antiprism, the vertices of the bottom plane's hexagon ought to have been rotated just enough to lie halfway between the vertices of the top plane's hexagon, allowing me to run alternating equilateral triangles between them. Instead the angle was slightly offset from this ideal, which I did not expect.In spite of all of the warning signs of impending failure, I decided to bring everything together anyway. |
