| 説明 | Thanks to our friend Ky, we embarked on a most magical maiden voyage into the beauty of the world of a vernal pool at night in the springtime. Yesterday at dusk, spring peepers sang full force all around us as they lured us into the deep recesses of a world of salamanders, newts, frogs, toads, snails, fish spiders, and mystery after mystery. One of the many magical presences was that of Wood Frogs. We were awed. Another was that of a lone pregnant Ringed Salamander (guess she wasn't really alone ;) ) along with numerous Spotted Salamanders. Wow. And yet another was a Pickerel Frog. And a Leopard Frog. And a puddle of salamander larvae. And an American Toad. An Eastern Chorus Frog. |
