| 説明 | 1998-2005JCE PlatformSaloonI understand the appeal of a small, RWD sedan built as a BMW-chaser, but the IS always struck me as a successor to the Cressida that looked more like a Corolla. The C-Pillar certainly doesn't help, as it's another generic tapering trapezoid with little attempt at being distinctive or showing off the RWD nature of the platform. The car was similarly mis-marketed: was it an aspiration step-up from a Camry or a cheap alternative to the class benchmark BMW? For a car that Corolla owners aspired to, it didn't do enough to distinguish itself in looks. |
