| 説明 | A visit to The Fifth Season, an exhibition of René Magritte’s most important bodies of work, at SFMOMA San Francisco Museum of Modern Art. This collection features paintings from his late career, the 1940s through the 1960s. This art expedition was quite a treat: Matisse has been such an inspiration over the years, and it was great to experience his surreal scenes in person. He’s mastered the art of ambiguity, with impossible juxtapositions of opposites: night and day, gravity and flight. We liked the interactive exhibit at the end, which invites you to get inside the art and create your own scenes. Our visit inspired me to try some of these ideas in my own art.“Featuring more than 70 artworks in nine immersive, thematic galleries, René Magritte: The Fifth Season explores how Magritte balanced irony and conviction, philosophy and fantasy, to illuminate the gaps between what we see and what we know.
