| 説明 | I never knew i would be able to turn my lowly phone into a super navigator. No GPS, no GPRS, no $$$, just plain old java. Its an opensource application called GPSMid that converts openstreetmap data into a java bundle .The maps are stored offline in your phone and are completely searchable and routable, so need for GPRS. Its like having a city map inside your phone. Currently Chennai and Bangalore have pretty good map data, other cities havent seen much contributors yet. Here its showing me directions from sheshadri road to MG road, via KR Circle and Cubbon Park. The India maps are around 20mb and updated monthly. Should work in almost any Java enabled phone. copy the .jar & .jad files into your phone:South India Map: [jar] [jad]Other MapsThe map data is from the openstreetmap project, the more contributors the better :) |
