| 説明 | This is the Pilot Office. It is near the River Great Ouse.It was built in 1864 with a view of the Estuary Cut.The site is used by the King's Lynn Conservation Board.The Pilot Office is a Grade II listed building.Public baths and pilot office, now offices. Baths, 1856, pilotoffice 1864, joined together and converted to present use in1987. Red brick with rendered details. Slate roof. 1-2storeys. West front composed of a 3-bay narthex arcade onsquare rusticated piers flanked to each side by a bay definedby pilasters carrying pediments. Behind rises a hipped2-storey, 3-bay element lit by sashes with glazing bars inrecessed panels. Stack to east end of central ridge. Shortlinking wall leads left from facade pierced by a blockedarched door and an arched sash to base of tower (former pilotoffice). This has a paired sash to east and north faces undergault brick gauged arches. Broaches lead into octagonal2-storey tower with oculi to alternate facets to lower storeyand paired sashes to top storey in each facet. Corbelledparapet and pyramid roof festooned with short and medium waveradio antennae. INTERIOR. Rooms variously panelled; panelleddoors; high counter to public office under tower.
