| 説明 | this is a set of pics from my new mirror lens. I looked around a lot before finally deciding to get this on faith, so I thought I'd put up a well tagged set of examples for others who may be thinking about getting one. I'll continue to post updates as to how it works, but a preliminary impression is that it takes fine pictures, given its obvious limitations. and it's a 500mm lens with a lot of aperture in a package that's only a touch bigger than the kit lens.it seems to fool the exposure metering and white balance and so on. nothing insurmountable, just a little confusing at first. and the depth of field is almost comically shallow. when focusing on something a dozen yards or so away, breathing moves the subject in and out of the focal plane. I'd say it's about 3 inches at ten yards. it also seems to lend a quality to the pictures.. not sure what it is yet. there's some vignetting, and the bokeh from the mirror system is certainly unusual. however: it was $90. and it does things no other lens can. so I'm real real real happy with it. already thinking about getting the bigger version.
