| 説明 | Health professionals from Brooks and Oyen shared some laughs, and learned a lot about working together as a health-care team at a recent CARE Course (Comprehensive Approach to Rural Emergencies) in Brooks.A total of 20 health care professionals—eight physicians, eight nurses, and four paramedics—were part of the weekend event, which is a traveling rural program for physicians, nurses (RNs, NPs, LPNs, and midwives), and pre-hospital providers (EMT’s and Paramedics).Medical, trauma, obstetric and paediatric emergency management are featured in this two-day program provides, which provides interactive hands-on learning in a fun, warm and supportive inter-professional environment.This small group program is unique in that it is appropriate to the realities of rural practice, supporting the teamwork and skills enhancement needed to provide rural emergency care.RhPAP is pleased to bring the CARE Course to rural Alberta, in conjunction with the Rural Coordination Centre of BC (RCCbc) to improve the delivery of rural health care for Albertans. |
