| 説明 | As if one ever needs a reminder to always carry your camera with you in Dublin. Whilst popping out on foot to the local shop for milk around 7.30pm, I grabbed my camera bag. A beat up leather bag I throw over my shoulder wherever I go. Rounding the corner I saw this scene unfold. The pony is apparently a fallabella originally breed in Argentina from Shetland ponies but now very popular in Ireland. What you might ask are they doing in the inner city of Dublin. This area is a cross section of emigrants and settled travellers. The Irish element love their horses and keep in inner city yards a wide variety of shapes and sizes, I have earlier pictures of trotters etc. These little ‘princesses’ on their minature carriage were enjoying their evening ride around the inner city streets before bed. Very posh indeed! All being faithfully pulled by a pony called Edward! I’m not making that up, his name was Edward according to the father who is on the end of the guide rope out of shot. Nikon F80, 50mm F1.4D lens, Yellow filter. Neopan 400 developed in Xtol 1:1. Straight neg scan. |
