| 説明 | Pubs in Cromer, near the sea.This is the Wellington Freehouse on Garden Street in Cromer.It is a Grade II listed building.Early C20 public house. Stuccoed. Black-glazed pantile roof with paired eavesbrackets. 2 storeys. Corner site. 4 bays to Garden Street and 4 bays to NewStreet. Sash windows with glazing bars in moulded shouldered architraves withdecorated key blocks. Garden Street elevation has 3 panels between 1st floor windowswith moulded architraves with broken pediments. Entablature over ground floor,with plate glass bar windows and glazed doors with rectangular fanlights. Splayedcorner with bay on 1st floor rising to polygonal wooden turret with moulded corniceand flat ogee dome. 2 bays of New Street elevation are 3 storeys with 2nd floorwindows through eaves with segmental pediments.The Wellington Public House and Nos 31, 33 and 35 form a group.The Wellington Public House, Cromer - Heritage GatewayThere are three panels on the side of The Wellington, two are blank, the middle one has an image of the Duke of Wellington on it. |
