| 説明 | Today I sat with an elderly woman, who was alone and rapidly dying andlay in her bed, reaching out for my hand.I took her hand, and directed comfort care.I sat beside her as her body calmed a bit,as she laid there struggling for breathand dying and holding my hand.I had never seen her before today and yet she became like my own~I told her it was ok and that she was close and to not be afraid.Her body relaxed as the medication gave ease and I left her therewith others to care.And yet, still... she lingers within me and my mind wants to know if she has crossed over or still lays there waiting her turn.(a hard day in the life of this hospice nurse) |
