| 説明 | Over at this end of the parking lot is a second Fred Meyer road sign, not far from the one we saw at the start of this set and on the same road. The fancy base is left over from when this was the greenwood Market sign. I do quite like the dimensional letters on this sign -- not a super common design style!That's it for this store -- next week, we'll finally catch up to the present of Fred Meyer decor! However... unless Flickr decides to go back on their current plans for how everything works, that will be the last upload set from this account. I haven't yet decided what I'm going to do after that point, but one thing's for sure -- I am not interested in paying 50 dollars a year just for the privilege of using this platform. Thankfully, I haven't hit the 1000 picture mark yet (though I will in a couple more unloads), which makes it much easier for me to move elsewhere (or, following the path of least resistance though opening myself up for issues with the admins, making additional accounts on Flickr) than it is for most people out there. I could go on and on about how Flickr is destroying the historical record with their decision to delete people's pictures (documenting the present is the whole reason that I, and many others on here, post these pictures), or how the new owner is making the exact same mistake Yahoo made by treating Flickr as a photo hosting and storage site rather than a social site (and there are plenty of better photo hosting and storage options that are still free and aren't constantly trying to sell you stuff), but I don't really feel like soapboxing too much right now. Anyways, I'm still holding out hope that Flickr will go back on their decision in some way, but until and unless that happens, this account will probably be going dark for at least a little while following the next store series.Anyways, that's all for now, and let me know if you have ideas about what to do post-Flickr! |
