| 説明 | Near Coton Manor is the village of Coton. Inlcuding this lovely Grade II listed cottage called Spinney Cottage.House. Probably early C18. Rendered cob and lias with thatch roof. Originally3-unit plan. 2 storeys, 3-window range of casements with C20 leaded lights. C20door and porch to right. The end bays break forward slightly. Right gable hasparapet and kneeler. Brick stacks at ridge and end. Thatched lias barn attachedto right now forms part of the house. Interior not inspected. Included as anexample of cob construction.Spinney Cottage, Coton - Heritage GatewayIs directly opposite Coton Manor.There is a sign on the far left of the house, I can't read it, but it probably said Spinney Cottage. On Google Street Maps there is a new black Spinney Cottage sign where the white one was two years ago. |
