Capacity by day – 16 passengers and by night - 8.The Yerba Buena is a classic observation lounge and sleeping car dating from the “Golden Age of Railroading.” Built as a sleeper in 1942 by the Pullman Company, the car was converted to a business car in 1965, including the addition of a tail-end viewing platform. The Yerba Buena was completely rebuilt in 1991.Restored in teak and mahogany, with luxurious furnishings and classic railroad fixtures, the Yerba Buena offers a five-star level of service and comfort brought back from a bygone era. The open viewing platform and the beautifully restored observation lounge provide luxurious travel by day. Two large drawing rooms and two compartments, elegantly restored, share a shower and dressing room, providing comfort and privacy by night.
