| 説明 | A patchwork of mature forest, regrowing forest, cropland, and upland rice farms in the southern Yunnan Province, China. Similar to wetlands, forests act as nutrient sinks by retaining nutrients while also reducing the flashiness of catchments thereby reducing the amount of nutrient-laden surface runoff delivered to water bodies.
