| 説明 | VISUALIZING JWST SCIENCE-A NASA & NCSA COLLABORATION: Donna Cox is a studio artist turned world renowned scientific visualization artist. She invented the phrase “Renaissance Teams,” meaning collaborations between interdisciplinary groups of experts to solve problems using supercomputing visualizations. Her work has been noted in TIME, National Geographic, the New York Times, and approximately 100 other publications. An internationally recognized keynote speaker, she currently holds the Michael Aiken endowed chair at the Univ. of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign. She has exhibited her artwork in international invited and juried exhibitions and has appeared on numerous television programs including “Good Morning America.” Her work together with PIXAR/NCSA on “Cosmic Voyage” was nominated for the 1997 Academy Award in the documentary short subject category. Cox presented a visual tour highlighting the science of the James Webb Space Telescope (JWST) at a Special Information Science and Technology Colloquium on March 11, 2010 at the NASA Goddard Space Flight Center.
