I’m sorry to have put off writing before this, but living aboard ship isn’t quite the same as living at home. Here space is at a premium and finding some place to write is not only a luxury, but a miracle. Most of the fellows, that is the ones occupying the number two and three bunks, utilize them for the purpose of writing, but the poor unfortunates occupying number one are just out of luck.
