| 説明 | Each day of the past week working on Bolivar has shown a different mood of the Gulf.The house on the left is next door to the one where I've been painting the pelican mural. The house was built in Beaumont, in the twenties. After the house on this lot was destroyed, like all the ones around it, by Hurricane Ike, the owners bought the house, had it moved in two pieces to Bolivar, and lifted onto large timber columns.They've nearly finished the installation.The house has been extensively remodeled, inside and out, and has new exposed pine beams in some of the rooms. The owners know that staining that broad grained pine dark won't give them the look that they want to go with refinished old wood floors and dark granite countertops. They've asked me to do a dark faux wood grain on the beams, and I'll start that on Monday.Another week on Bolivar...sigh... |
