| 説明 | Kuo Yuan Ye Museum of Cake & Pastry was founded in 2001, displaying the development and history of traditional Chinese cakes and pastries over more than a century, including: historical contributions, pastry arts from generation to generation, culinary development and the evolution of wedding cakes, traditions and gift-giving. It was the first collection and display of its kind of traditional Chinese cakes and pastries. In 2002, the Museum of Cake & Pastry was established at the site of Kuo Yuan Ye’s original shop, at the foot of the Shi-Lin Bridge. The museum incorporates many functions, including viewing of displays, learning, promotion, hands-on demonstrations and inspiration. The museum’s displays are abundant and diversified, providing a well-rounded explanation of the history of Chinese cakes and pastries, as well as the development of associated traditions of gift giving, allowing visitors to gain a deep understanding of this fascinating aspect of Chinese culinary customs. |
