| 説明 | Vintage 1953 Brownie Hawkeye camera, multiple exp, Ilford hp5 120 film, developed in homemade Caffenol C (coffee developer)Tombstone, Arizona USAThis is a double exposure of the prison exercise yard and reproduction of the gallows, within an interior courtyard of the Historic Tombstone Courthouse. This building also housed the county courtroom and various public service offices of Cochise County from about 1882 through about 1929. (until the county seat was moved to Bisbee)It has been a state park since the 1950s.Unfortunately, the Arizona legislature found it necessary to pull the funding of the state parks to pay for other ailing government programs. As a result, the Tombstone Courthouse, and 12 other Arizona State Parks, will close between February and June. This is my visual protest against the "hanging" of the historic Tombstone Courthouse.image made January 24, 2010 |
