Because a relatively large part of your brain is devoted to their function. These parts have huge numbers of sense receptors. nerves and muscles. They are very sensitive and can make delicate and controlled movements.The legs, torso and ears are small in comparison. They have fewer sensory nod muscles. These parts are controlled by a small volume of the brain (even if you can wiggle your ears)! |
